Mushroom hunting on the forest floor…

Basket full
So there I was cruising around the forest floor, finding them all delicious mushrooms.

sometimes when the ending of the summer and beginning of the autumn is raining… a lot, it’s kinda buzzkill, but on the bright side, the mushrooms grow like no tomorrow.

Let’s collect those… And of course I move in the forest without any (CO2) with my old faithful E-scooter.

AND THE EARTH IS SAVED!

Delicate monsters
I found these perfect monsters from the forest floor.
Normally I wouldn’t collect that big mushrooms because it’s almost certain that there is many worms or snails inside or it has gone over…

This time in this case I took one and split it in half just to see is it good or bad and it turned out to be damn good.

Just look at this delicious slice.
By the way, this is the king of the these kind…
Slice of beauty
Trail of the snail
This one has been my favorite mushroom for so many years.

it’s easy to find and taste is very much like in forest mushrooms should taste
Organic food
Jackpot!
This year has been even better than many earlier years.

I ave already collected so much for the winter time and there is more to come.

This spectacular mushroom grows in huge groups and it’s like mushroom hunting in the store, I mean you can actually collect the beautiful ones.
If I would collect’em all, I would be drowning on mushrooms already…

It’s not like collecting berries, you can be picky.
Jackpot again and again…
There is few things aye how I like to use mushrooms.

1. Dried - My most common used method, because dried mushroom grows big again when cooked.
Of course the sauces you’ve made has gone inside in that point and you can taste unbelievable range of flavors.
Also, after the grinder you can make SO TASTY mushroom soup.

2. Freezing - It’s great way to enjoy at winter time.
Mushrooms look more itself and the taste is much richer.

3. Straight to the hot pan -
At evening walk, you collect few mushrooms and throw ‘em straight to the hot pan with garlic, butter and fresh chilies.
With this method you don’t even need food, you can just eat the sauce from the pan.
Only thing that bugs me in this drying method is that, no matter how much you collect mushrooms the amount looks tiny and small.

The basket is full of mushrooms and you’re like: yeah, I got plenty” But boy you were wrong…

the moisture has left away and you have only tiny handful of mushrooms.

Sure them gets bigger, when cooking but still.

I’m keeping the lit on and won’t stop mushroom collecting before the ground freezes. (Won’t take long)

Yours. “mushroom hunters elite” Jay
