Today I had evening photo session in the heart of city. Many great cliks got on my way at evening walk. Sure I started at the daytime because the sun was shining so bright.
Sun is really important to me, mostly because I have born here on the darker side of the Arctic Circle and at the winter time, we have thing called “kaamos” it’s translated “Polar Night” certain time of the year it means 24 hours of darkness. This is a something that is impossible to imagine for most people in the world. Main reason for the foreign people to get depressed is that you just don’t see sun at all for a long period.
That’s why this spring time is so much fun. There is so much light, because every place is filled with snow.
But back to the topic. I was taking photos and at the editing table, my RAW-files turned nicely to these “card” pictures.

Scenery is just magical, no matter where you take the photos. Evening sky and the last sun beams will paint the sky in the deep blue.
It’s also so dark that all the city lights are visible and gives nice touch to the most simple pictures. These kind of editing is one of my favorite things to do as a hobby.I have few upcoming bigger projects at the summer, but I won’t spoil it right now. Only thing what I can say, it’s WW2 related thing.
Photography is a weird way of self therapy. It’s hard to be angry or frustrated when you are just observing the beauty of the cities.
I challenge you!
Try it, take some sort of camera, phone whatsoever and just release your inner photographer in to the wild… What’s the worst thing what could happen?

Shadows painting the ground and sun working it ways towards the spring.
I took this amazing shot from the front yard of my house. Had to work with my Fisheye lense, so the sun started to look like a star. Shadow reflections in the pictures like these gives own mysterious vibe and I just love it so much.
As an amateur photographer I have always loved to take pictures of shadows and reflections. Light reflections was not the main idea of this photo session, but another time I had amazing frames and light reflections from the shining surfaces…But that’s another post blog.

This amazing mural has appeared under the bridge. It’s close to Safari tours place, so I’m quite sure that it’s ordered from some artist. Looks like there is reindeer and Huskies so yeah…I rest my case.
This Spring time of a year is great time for unbelievable photo sessions.
I find myself wandering in the streets almost every single day. So if you are interested about artistic views of the surroundings, be ready… There is more to come.
Yours. “Street wanderer” Jay
