There was time when my cuz introduced me this album from Pantera. 
I was immediately blown away and my young headbanger kicked the door open!

Few years later my cuz hanged himself, shame… He was such a warm person.

Those times I couldn’t listen “evil music” indoors because of my father (rest in peace)… He said: “indoors were forbidden for the heretical music” It didn’t helped when I was explaining how they are not satanist or anything like that…
If it was rock, it was straight from the Satan… end of story.

Good man, did not understand anything about great music.

Dad let me listen my music from the small battery radio/CD/cassette player at the outdoor sauna.
(Some sort of compromise, because I wasn’t giving up)

In sauna, there were no lights or heating.
Little bit problematic because this album was my first CD-album.

Do you have any idea how much batteries takes that kind of machine takes in the freezing weather… Well it takes a lot, I can tell you that.

Well, I used so much batteries when I learned to sing those songs.
I still remember most of the lyrics and every time when I listen this album, it takes me back.

Album cover had bit changes before the release date, but also Far Beyond Driven is the first album by Pantera where the band's guitarist Darrell Abbott is credited as "Dimebag Darrell", having changed his nickname from "Diamond Darrell"

The original album cover shows a drill going into someone's anus, but the record label rejected it, worrying it would harm sales and would be rejected by stores like Walmart and Target. The band then changed it to a drill put in the frontal lobe of a human skull. (Wikipedia)

I have to say it out loud headbanger high! 

This has always been my all time 
favorite album and it still is.
