All of these sketches were going to the bin. Salvaging drawings from there is not my cup of tea, but I want to tell you a story.
Normally when I’m creating something or sketching, coping, these piece goes straight to the trash. There is some small details or I haven’t been focusing to the piece.
Long story short, it’s good for BIN!
Although there is a silver lining in this and that’s what I’m here to talk today.
For example, this worried skeleton and calming moon drawing ended as a tattoo for my buddy. He absolutely loved the saddest poor bastard.
Can’t blame him, after I tattooed this for his leg, in epic old school style, it turned out To be most perfect oldie... more you know..
Life is funny that way, some other man’s trash could be a treasure for other.
Sad bastard and calming moon.
This satanic goat picture is actually a sketch where I tested all new pencils I have bought from the art store. Only idea was to see how good the pencils are for coloring.
Turned out that this will make a perfect T-shirt print, because the colors are so eye catching.
T-shirt goats
This next was was supposed to be a tattoo for vampire stories lover, but we turned in to something else, and this was left behind. Hard to thing how could you use this anymore and there is also coffee stains, as like a reminders for the sole purpose of this sketch.
I was thinking about making a poster with this, or cover for something. Dunno, but it’s just too much fun to get lost.
Vampire lips
Again one sketch with experimenting… I had just bought new metallic markers and what would be better way to test ‘em than Terminator skull?
Actually I do have one movie prop skull, which I used as a model when doing this.
Idea was to see how metallic is the metallic pencils, nothing more. Drawing turned out pretty mediocre, but I still kinda like it, don’t know why. Only reason why I did salvage this was the idea of making a sticker out of it.
I would buy sticker like this and that is already reason enough to make it happen.
Sticker skull.
I’m just saying before you go all “life-changing lessons the KonMari decluttering method” and throw everything in the bin, sit down and calm down.
Every thing might have different purpose than you thought. Go and invite for coffee that one friend who has an eye for art or handcrafts. You might get surprised how many purposes things have.
These trash drawings were just the tip of the iceberg, and I can’t underline enough how important lessons I have learned when I have seen a new life of the things and stuff which we’re going to the trash, also don’t forget this… “all of those things have already burdened this planet on the moment when it was made in those big-ass factories..” why would you want to make it waste, if there is even a smallest change to give a new life..
Relax brothers and sisters, don’t worry bout the thing!
