How do you relax?
I have few methods which I use almost daily.
1. Music
Listening music and specifically instrumental music without lyrics is helpful.
Best way of using music is the movie soundtracks.
Funny how simple orchestra can take you back for the exact moment when you watched the movie.
Sometimes I do this with kids and of course we are listening the animation soundtracks.
Old Disney classics are perfect for this.
Then we discuss about the scenes of the movie.
I have found great place to buy all those great movie soundtracks.
Believe me or not, but library is best place to buy these forgotten records.
First of all, the condition of the records is almost mint and covers are barely touched.
For some reason people don’t listen these records.
Good for me, they have these clearance sales all the time and CD:s are normally 1€… cheap AF!
2. Guitar
I like to learn my favorite riffs from the bands I love.
Guitar playing and making own songs is great way of creating.
Sometimes you just get sucked in to the inspiration storm and time flies.
I’m not much as a singer, but this won’t stop me singing.
There is enough space for everyone in this world. (People around me might have different opinion)

3. Sketching
The last but not least is drawing things.
Sometimes I just draw, nothing specific just the movement of pencil.
These relaxation sketches goes straight to the bin, because there ain’t no reason to save ‘em.
Although I’ve been thinking that maybe someday I could start saving these sketches and create a phenomenal exhibition… Would be different right?
If you travel back in the time where we did have landlines the phone was normally at the table.
I don’t know about you, but we did have notebook and pencil next to the phone and there was always sketching.
Longer the conversation, bigger the drawing. Funny how I don’t see myself doing that anymore.
If you don’t know what I mean, go ask your parents. (Younger generations)
There is many other ways also, but these three are my TOP-3 no doubt about it.
Yours. “Relaxation sensei” Jay
