I don’t know about you, but me…I admit, I’m a huge fan of this old cartoon show. Rotten tomatoes gives 85% average audience score, which is quite well for animated series.

I remember the time when this show aired on my country’s television. It took only few episodes and the show was moved from the prime time to the late night. (Some parents were definitely NOT the fans of the show)

I loved from the first sight of the episode…And of course the banning from the prime time helped the show to come even more popular.

On the left side of my head, I have the outlines of Ren portraited as the devil whispering to my ear.

On the right side there’s a Stimpy whispering all those angelic words like the good self confidence. Both of these tattoos are on the “in progress”-state and there will be more coloring. Head area is quite tricky for tattoo to heal. The problem is this: “Tattoo heals too fast” and the colors get faded. We have found out the solution for the problem, hear me out! At first session we do outlines with 7round liner, then then the most important part is doing the most far outlines with 14/round liner of 9/round shader. After the healing (approximately 2 weeks) we colour and shade the hell out of the picture. With this system it does not matter if the tattoo heals too fast.

My enthusiasm with these characters goes way back. I loved the idea of the cartoon where characters are so dysfunctional and weird. Close up pictures from the nose, butt or fart were just the extra spice.

I remember the one episode where Stimpy lost his fart… Sounds funny, but the episode was so damn sad!

One episode (had to check from IMDb) “Ren and Stimpy find themselves in elf and gnome world where everyone happily works to graduate Pixie status. Stimpy loves his new work, but Ren thinks it’s too hard and everyone is too happy. Ren decides instead that he wants to become a pixie king.”

That was entertainment people, psychotic Chihuahua decided to become a king!!!

Nowadays there is plenty cartoons which are good as the Ren and Stimpy show, but also so much shows even better.

We are living on the golden age of the cartoons, not just because of the streaming, but also because the good laughs and harsh dark and even twisted humor which has come to stay in our daily lives…
