There will be a mimic fighter!

desenho, movies, sketching

Yo!

If you have not seen the movie BLACK WIDOW, go and do it now..

——-> Black Widow IMDb <———

In Marvel Studios' action-packed spy thriller "Black Widow," Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

The movie itself is great, storyline is clever and characters work like a charm.

Natasha and her sister Yelena, they are just perfect couple together kicking ass of the bad guys.

Of course movie with Scarlet Johansson is already one to watch, but wait!!!

There is even more!

The Taskmaster brought into the MCU, oh my god!
Taskmaster has been one of my favorites since the day I saw him in the cartoons.

In the game Spider man game, if you’ve managed to fight with the Taskmaster, you had to change your fighting techniques every time, because mimic fighting skills he has.

”Taskmaster watches everything and can do it. Taskmaster is a perfect mimic. And will fights just like all of your friends.”

What an EPIC villain in MCU.
I just hope that they will give more movie time to the Taskmaster.
Harley Quinn

Next stop… DC-universe!

I am waiting this next movie of the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

First standalone Joker film from 2019 ——-> Joker IMDb was SO GOOD!

I just hope that the plot of the movie takes us to the madness of this anarchism couple, just like in cartoons.

Maybe it will be more like the earlier, but i have my fingers crossed for Lady Gaga.

Have to admit, there is quite big boots to fill, if you’re going to be better than phenomenal Margot Robbie.

These “sidekick character villains” are getting more and more interesting in the big movies.

Just like the the Peacemaker.

I never thought that goofy character like him would be so awesome!

He was portrayed by the one and only John Cena.

If uou want to watch wacky action comedy, this is your number one series.

9 episode in HBO Max.

Picking up where The Suicide Squad: Suicide Mission (2021) left off, Peacemaker returns home after recovering from his encounter with Bloodsport - only to discover that his freedom comes at a price.

Check it out, it’s totally worth of your precious time.
Frozen
Like I told on earlier blog, I’ve watched the horror version of Winnie The Pooh and it was quite something.

That movie got me thinking:

“What if Frozen, would be a movie version”

Sure Sam Raimi had to direct it, I love that guy and he’s wicked way of thinking and directing movies.

But why not?

There is already many of those fairytales turned on the big screen.

Here is few for example:

Gretel and Hansel IMDb

Snow White and the Huntsman

Maleficent IMDb

I think that Frozen would be so awesome cruel horror story…

Just saying.

Educational ways of cartoons

animation, cartoon, Drawing

Have you been in situation where you quote cartoons?

I have, so many times.
Political satire in The Simpsons, Family guy and South Park is quite clever sometimes and those pressings matters are just spot on.

Many shows have their civil war episodes, political debates, even the slavery episodes.

Maybe this is the way how we teach the younger generations to understand how the world works.

It’s quite educational way of showing the old world.

Many times I’ve been saying the phrase: “I’ve learned everything about that in the episode of South Park.

Sure, have to admit that sometimes satire gets bit far out, but it’s very effective way of saying horrible things.

Even in the middle of the WW2 there were cartoons fighting among the “good guys”

To send Superman “where I’m needed most” may sound like a familiar mission, but this time it’s not the typical fighting against evil aliens or villains to protect humanity. The world renowned hero Superman is involved with the Holocaust in confrontation with the Nazis.

This of course has been only in comics but still.

Artists among the times has shown us the way how to handle hard times and horrible things.
All them toons
Maybe the cartoons are easier way to handle than for example acted play.

Sure there has been funny musical acts, where winners are kicking the ass of the bad guys and movies like The Great Dictator or The Dictator but it’s not the same, cartoons and comics are easier way of saying those things.

Underwater world
Have you ever watched this SpongeBob SquarePants?
To me this cartoon has the same problem that many new cartoons have.

It’s filled with everything moving fast and characters yelling and screaming.

There is nothing more than happening inside the utopia under the bottom of the sea.

Cartoons like this is different and I’m sure the writers are not even trying to tell you a story.

There is absolutely nothing from the media surrounding us, except the movie version where The Hoff was helping Bob and Patric.

That was clever because we all remember The Hoff from the Baywatch.
The aliens
Because cartoons and animation has so big influence on TV and movies, it makes me wondering…

Why there is so little amount of alien related animation?

There is few characters in The Simpsons, American Dad and Toy Story, but why not Predator or Aliens?
Who remembers E.T or Alf? *lifts arm

Paul was great example how easily goofy looking alien can be used in movie.
Perhaps the animation version wouldn’t be so effective.

Aliens vs Predator animation horror TV-show would be great idea!

There is so many ways to direct cartoons and animation.

Special effects and animation technology has gone so far that I can only gasp my breath.

I just watched the Avatar Way of Water, sure James made the most expensive movie of all time, but it’s great example what you can do these days.

Why not to make new Aliens movie with this technology?

Conclusion:

I have watched many cartoons/animations and learned so many great things while doing it.
I love cartoons and I’m proud of it.

I LOVE CARTOONS!

comics, Drawing
Hellboy
Long time ago… in a cabin far away.

My enthusiasm to the cartoon stories and heroes, has always been really intense.

I’ve been drawing from the cartoons using magazines as drawing model.

Spider-man has always been one of my favorite characters to draw.
Probably turning from ninjas to Spider-man was logical step.
All those cool poses which Spider-man had when swinging around the pages.

Sure I did draw tons of pages from Donald the duck and Garfield, but MCU… I loved since I was kid.

Spawn and Hellboy came to my drawing table, when I found first magazines from library.

DC-universe also was fun to draw, especially Batman and Joker. Superman and Aquaman wasn’t my choice.
Spiderverse
Weird thing about Gwen and Spider verse is that, I started to draw those after the movie and game on PlayStation.

I just admire the idea of mixing all the different universes together.
After multiverse, I have noticed myself drawing Spider-Ham and other goofy characters.

All those fans along the times, who have make drawings where they mix different heroes are so dope.
World is filled with all those talented artists, who think outside the box.

Like seen on the first picture, also Star Wars heroes and villains have been on my sketch table for so long time.

I’ve been drawing Luke, Chewie, and stormtroopers since I first time saw the movies.
Never I have seen magazines about the Star Wars, but it has not stopped me.

Sure, when you talk about Star Wars, you have to mention Darth Vader and all those badass Sith Lords.

Usually when I was drawing Sith Lords, they had red faces and lots of biomechanical parts.

Talking about the robots… Terminator and Robocop have been my favorites since I was starting my life at sketching artist.
Here comes the heroes
Spider-man vs Shang-chi drawing came after the Shang-chi movie.

He did look WAY different in the movie that I remembered.
Cartoon version of him was more tougher looking than in the big screen version.

Still, I have seen only one cartoon with this team.

Learning to draw is always copying characters from the pages.

Read, watch and learn…

Yours Jay
