Do you have any collections?
Oh yeah, I have a great collection of art! In my case, I have the privilege to carry these unique art pieces wherever I go. Of course I’m talking about my tattoo collection, which is quite stunning already…still more to come tho..
This spectacular “self image” my portrait which I have in my other sleeve is one of the most accurate ever. I’m the hog wearing beanie and eating cheese things, eyes are sleepy like most artists have.

My sleeping habits are quite disturbing as my therapist would say. I’m sleeping only few hours at night. I must have been a bat or some sort nocturnal creature in my past lives, because my inspiration kicks in at the night time. Bit tricky sure, but it does not bother me. There is plenty of time to sleep when I pass away.
Once I was going to my tattoo appointment and my daughter asked what I was going to take. Black flames and skulls of course why? Daughter looked me and threw the question: “why not pink?” I laughed and left to the appointment. When I was driving to the tattoo artist, I was starting to ask my self: “Why not pink?” I’m a big tough guy and kiddo would love it.
Told my conversation to the tattoo artist and he loved the idea of turning the picture to the pink, why not?

Perhaps too many adults are stuck in their head, after all I have many even funnier ideas.
Next session was around the lockdown, people were struggling with the pandemic at the time. I watched the cartoon called: The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (TV Series 2003‑2007) If you have not watched it already, I recommend to do so.
Idea came from the most boring problems of Grim Reaper. And the pandemic times I needed cheer up. Social distancing was great for me, but everything else was horrible.
Main idea was simple, Grim Reaper needed his time off. Just like everyone else.
Here is the result.

Other time I have taken many tattoo ideas from cartoons and one of my all time favorite shows is Family Guy. Especially Stewie and Brian. I found a picture of them portraying the OG-Batman, you know from the 60’s or something. There was no turning back after I saw that picture, rest is history. There was one nevus again on the way, but we circle it around like always. No biggie.

One of my favorite “superheroes” from the time of my childhood was Toxic Avenger. From the creative mind of Lloyd Kaufman. I wanted Lloyd himself to be part of the picture with the famous face expression. This picture I have shown to the man himself and Lloyd loved it, especially the way how the head was impaled but the flagpole of Toxie. I had to use my connections to the TromaArmy to get the connection with Lloyd and it wasn’t hard at all, thank god we have internet connection today.

All of my tattoo collections have came from some weird idea of something what I see, sure there is few of those which means absolutely nothing but most of my collection has some meaning for my journey.
Like I said, there is plenty of more to come. I have planned and draw my back piece nearly ten years and it has been on the sketch table so many times. I won’t tell more about it, but as a hint: “There Will Be Blood”
I’m a horror movie enthusiast and back piece will give credit to those all great movies which I have watched in my life.
There it is folks, my art collection goes where ever I go, I can always show you these epic art pieces because I carry in my skin.
Yours: “Art collector” Jay
