Hard to tell, how many of you do remember the game called battletoads. When I first time played this game with my old faithful 8-bit NES. Sure the game was a brand new and let’s be honest, the games at that time wasn’t so stunning as they are now, but MY GOD I was stunned about the goofiness and all the funny actions related stuff with this game was filled.
I have been waiting the remake from this game, but I’m still waiting..
Iron and man
Death of the iron man was HUGE deal to me. I just love the character and it’s really hard to understand why the directors took him away from the big screen.
Of course Russo brothers will bring the character back, not with Robert but somehow.
It would be madness to ditch character that big from the movie screen.
Good ‘Ol batsy
There is a new Flash movie where they bring back OG-Batman. How great is that. Sadly We have lost the one and only Adam West, but perhaps there is a sneak peek for other version of bats.
This “multiverse” trend in movies is a great way to make movies. I love the idea where you can bring back those lost characters from the past.
Still I’m quite sure that we will see movie with joker in some point. Only thing what I’m waiting is Joker / Quinn couple. With some twist of Peacemaker would be nice.
Sunny sunday like currently makes me happy. There is so many ways of spending lazy days and I’m sticking with arts today. Started my day with good healthy breakfast and playing guitar.

Day is turning slowly towards the Monday and I must get back to work.
Working between your art and inspiration is quite bummer, but there is this crisis going on global.
Every household item prices and food prices has gone high like a rocket. Can’t left mentioned electricity price or petrol, which by the way are so high right now.
Pretty much everything I managed to earn from work, goes to staying alive.
Would be fun to have even small amount of money for something extra, but no. Political superheroes has done their duty, there is absolutely zero money to spend.
It’s really weird because not so long ago, you could earn extra and after paying dues, you had money for hobbies and even spare for culture.
Damn, you could even buy a t-shirt now and then, or pair of new sneakers. These days, working is not reasonable thing to do.
In Finland there is so many people who are called: “Working class poor” It means you are living with so low payment that you can barely survive.
Me myself, I’m one of those people. The point where it’s not reasonable to work anymore is so close. Without working you could have so much more opportunities, which in my opinion is dumb.
I have worked my whole life, never it has crossed my mind that I would stopped working. Politics has driven our country in the position where you are punished for working… strange huh?
Mostly I survive because I have bought two freezers. When salary comes, I go and buy protein for the month from evening sale.
Evening sale in grocery store means, that product like meat and chicken which are closing the “best before” date are sold -60% It’s really nice system and you don’t have to starve.
I do have solar power system on the roof of my house, so next six months I’m able to survive with the electricity.
In the time of this six months I have to prepare for the upcoming dark winter time.
Everything extra will be used at the winter time, so there is no chance to make something extra.
Capoeira Taz
So many good workers in this country are at the same loophole. One woman told story how she had three jobs, but she had to stop the third job because she had not enough money to work.
That’s so wrong, in so many levels. We are slowly slipping in to the dystopia where no one is working, because you just don’t get paid enough.
This can’t be good for the small shops and owners.
For example: If me or my kids needs a barber, it’s me doing it. I have no skills, but I have a scissors and machine. Clothes are from donations and second hand stores. Every sports equipment are bough used. If you want restaurant food, I’m making it at home, same with the burgers and fries. Movie theater is “no go” and we watch movies at home.
Not by a long shot, we have a chance to go and listen live music. Same thing with museum and culture.
This must touch those hard working shop owners.
Heart of skulls
I was talking recently with my friend who owns a gallery for arts. He has reduced his gallery by half. Rent for the gallery is quite much and working area has gone smaller.
I asked why?
He told me that “if working class don’t have money to buy food, what do you think?.. are they gonna buy artifacts, or paintings hanging to the walls..?”
Well no, it’s quite opposite of that.
Time has changed, we just have to adapt.
Maybe some day I have enough money to use, but at the moment, I’m truly trying to enjoy the life as it is.
You just have to believe that better days are coming.
My working hours are always from Monday to Friday.
After long week when Friday finally arrives, you can just kick your boots in the corner and start doing things you love.
At weekends I have time to do art, play music, watch movies and spend time with fam and friends.
Sure I do these things at week days, but mainly after the hobbies and exercises.
Sleeping is really important part of life, but I have always been nocturnal being.
I don’t even remember when I have started to sleep before midnight. Every day to me is a day with art. I’m creating all kind art, mostly drawings.
Night time is perfect time for creativity. My inspiration kicks in around 22pm.
In some cases I have to “kill” inspiration before I can sleep.
It’s really hard thing to do, but necessary when you’ll have to wake up early.
In perfect world, I would let my inspiration guide me trough the day.
R.F Donald
One of my favorite things to create is, R.F styled drawings for all those hot rod lovers out there.
R.F (Rat Fink is one of several hot rod characters created by artist Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, one of the originators of Kustom Kulture of automobile enthusiasts. Roth conceived Rat Fink as an anti-hero to Mickey Mouse.)
Funny style to draw and it’s so close to my own style. ”Big Daddy” has always been so big influence at my work.

I love holidays and weekends.
“Mini-holidays” has been my kind of way to survive in this chaotic world surrounding us.
To me, it takes only few hours and absolutely non jet lag when I’m turning my weekday clock to the holiday clock. At first day, no matter if the holiday is one day or month.
I’m immediately at turn around point.
It takes zero effort to be on the other time zone.
In a blink of an eye, I can toss myself in to the road of inspiration.
In Marvel Studios' action-packed spy thriller "Black Widow," Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. The movie itself is great, storyline is clever and characters work like a charm.
Natasha and her sister Yelena, they are just perfect couple together kicking ass of the bad guys.
Of course movie with Scarlet Johansson is already one to watch, but wait!!!

The Taskmaster brought into the MCU, oh my god! Taskmaster has been one of my favorites since the day I saw him in the cartoons.
In the game Spider man game, if you’ve managed to fight with the Taskmaster, you had to change your fighting techniques every time, because mimic fighting skills he has.
”Taskmaster watches everything and can do it. Taskmaster is a perfect mimic. And will fights just like all of your friends.”
What an EPIC villain in MCU. I just hope that they will give more movie time to the Taskmaster.
Harley Quinn
Next stop… DC-universe!
I am waiting this next movie of the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
First standalone Joker film from 2019 ——-> Joker IMDb was SO GOOD!
I just hope that the plot of the movie takes us to the madness of this anarchism couple, just like in cartoons.
Maybe it will be more like the earlier, but i have my fingers crossed for Lady Gaga.
Have to admit, there is quite big boots to fill, if you’re going to be better than phenomenal Margot Robbie.
These “sidekick character villains” are getting more and more interesting in the big movies.
Just like the the Peacemaker.
I never thought that goofy character like him would be so awesome!

I remember the time when all splatter horror movies were nearly impossible to get.
Film censorship was SO TIGHT in Finland, that even movie Cobra was censored… yes, that one with Sly.
Here is one of the best background music list —————-> Horror list <————- •L I S T e N T H i S• An movies was cutted so poorly, for example: “Bad guy lifts gun and CUT! -7minutes…” It was horrible times for movies and especially horror lover like myself.
Film censorship carried out by the government agency Finnish Board of Film Classification was abolished in 2001.
However, the agency still rates all movies sold in Finland.
If I do remember right, Ren and Stimpy had to relocate after the pilot.
Original showtime was between prime time shows, but after few episodes it was moved closer to midnight.
The Simpsons
One small show pushed trough the system.
The Simpsons didn’t get in the teeth of the agency.
On the other hand, Family Guy did got “toothed” so bad.
The yellow family I started to watch constantly, but the Griffins never aired.
There is certain episodes in Family Guy… well the most of them and The Simpsons Halloween specials, which I don’t allow the youngest of the family to watch.
Mostly because they get nightmares.

So makes you wonder? “How did he get all those splatter horror movies?”
Well, if there’s a will, there’s a way.
Found out system called “sky channel” all those rich bastards had one at home and those movie channels did not have any kind of censorship at all.
I created a massive plan and trading system. (Remember, I was like 10-12 years old) First I found a magazine, which had buy and sell section.
Then I payed the postal and small amount of cash to get my writing in to the topic.
Then magazine went to the publishing with my announcement: “Need a VCR-tape recorded movie next Monday, time, channel, tittle, I will pay in cash..”
You get the point, right?
Then at the next week’s magazine, someone answered with the address. Afterwards I sended the cash in a letter and hope for the best, that I actually received a VCR, with the movie I wanted.
Just like drug trafficking but with movies.
Normally I got what I wanted, few times got hustled tho. Sounds stupid thing to do and these days I don’t send my money to the Nigerian Princes.
Maybe I just was a kid, but quite relentless… same effort if I only had used in studying..
But nope.
Monday comes, are you ready?
Todays world is different.
If I open TV at noon, there is MD-something stay alive shows going on, where they actually make open surgery for real patients. At evening news, you can watch how people gets beheaded or killed in warzones.
All the prime time is bloody murder bloodbaths.
Only one thing to ask: “Are we finally in the point where we need to censor the prime time and the news?”
Why not? I need my fantasy horror from movies, but in the real life, not so much.
Sure, news are very crucial in our daily life, but do we really need that visually horrible blood and gore?
Oh c’mon… absolutely no one believes that. There was a time when I was wondering:
”Is this the end of Freddy Krueger, or is this the end of Jason..?”
In the same breath you can ask yourself:
“Is it really truth that there will be no more Aliens or Predator movies.
Epic monsters which keep coming back all over again, because we love them.
Sure all you MCU fans out there don’t believe in a second when I say to you:
“There ain’t no MCU movie with Iron Man anymore”
All iconic characters always come back, especially those fan favorites.
I can share a secret:
“There will be Mission Impossible movies after Tom Cruise”

I don’t understand the movie world at all, but I have to confess, no matter if there will be a new Matrix movie, without the main characters, I don’t even care. I will drag my ass to the theater.
Movies are so entertaining and Hollywood has realized that we viewers don’t always need brainbuzzle or great story.
I am a man who has watched the Exorcist movie about hundred times and I will watch it many times more.
It’s the same thing with Freddy, Jason, Michael etc..
There is also reason why Sharknado is popular movie.
Ask yourself: “Why would anyone ever make a film called “Velocipastor”
It’s oblivious…because sometimes we viewers need a movie where priest turns to Velciraptor and fights against the Ninjas!

The myth of Arachne
Books also have great stories.
Recently I was reading a Greek Mythologies and the Myth of Arachne:
Arachne, her name meaning spider in Greek, was a beautiful woman that had a great talent in weaving. Everyone was amazed at her work and one day, Arachne boosted that she had a greater talent than goddess Athena herself. This was an offense towards the gods, which was a very serious and even deadly sin for the ancient Greeks. That is why goddess Athena transformed her into a spider to wave for all her life long.
This got me thinking: “What if all these old myths are just pre versions of movies?

Finland Places Order for Saab’s RBS 70 Missiles Saab has received an order from Finland regarding missiles for the RBS 70 ground-based air defence system. The order value is approximately SEK 800 million and deliveries will take place 2023-2026.
Oh my gosh, in my head this turned into that drawing. I sure did own one Saab when I was around twenties. It sure was a piece of crap and cost only 400€, but it took me to places.
Sad thing, in my car there was no missiles. I wonder, can you use sound commands on those?
Would be quite handy in morning traffic.

TGIF!!! Hah haha.. My brains need rest, I’ve been playing too much GTA.
Ahoy! Sketching table on the starboard! More drawings abaft..Arr..
My sketching table is filled with everything I see, feel, hear, and watch.
Life turns to the sketches so easily, for example:
“You watch your favorite TV-show” Well in my case, I’m also sketching at the same time.
My head is filled with ideas and it’s mess up there, I’m living in the inspiration zone and that makes focusing to something specific hard sometimes.
If I’m multitasking, it gets easier. Watching movie while drawing sketches is the most effective way to see the flick.
There is also minor problem with this behavior, meetings are kinda tricky, because if I don’t get my chance to draw, my imagination starts to flow like hell.
Sure there is also problem at the modern world, career focused bosses don’t understand this kind of behavior in the meetings. Also my kind of people who are visionary, get suffocated many times a day. But it’s okay, career life needs to be boring and using imagination or creativity in work is super rare.
To my offense, I must say.. when I’m drawing at the meetings, Zooms, etc… I do remember everything because I can focus so much better. This method must activate some areas from brains, that makes you almost superhuman.
Be sharp, here we go!
Brainstorm example 1.
This sheet is great example of bit everything..
Let me explain myself.
First I started to draw a Ninja, simple Ninja because I saw Batman Lego on the table. Idea twisted to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Raphael with his blade. Because Raphael is old name, David popped to my head and Jesus… so I must add Ninja-Jesus. (Makes sense?)
Some point kiddo started to watch SpongeBob. (That cartoon is TURBOBOOST weirdness) Colors and small things just pops to the sides, like the fill up.
Easy task when you’re watching cartoon, where squirrel in space-suit in in the bottom of the sea, having a bonfire. (WTF?)
Then Scream movie trailer takes me to the skulls and moonshine. Don’t ask me why.
Cup of coffee makes me think about donuts and donut reminds me about: “mmm…donuts…” This is just an example about the brainstorming at the sketch table.
Moving on to the next sketch.
The little tentacles
I mean the mermaid of course.
This came from the soundtrack of the movie little mermaid. (Yes I listen movie soundtrack music) again one great way to active your brains and memory. Try it out, works unbelievable well. Pretty much every movie has soundtrack and If you use playlists like I do, your movie memories makes you travel through the time..
In some point there was a trailer on TV about the documentary “After Porn Ends” next one was Mandalorian or Boba Fett and so those influenced strongly to the sketch.
In my opinion these kind of sketching is like you add some spices to your paper from around you.
This works great in crowded areas, city centers, museums etc…
Moving on.
Dawn of the homer
There was an episode in Simpsons where good people of Springfield turned to Zombies.
Favorite part of the episode was where Homer shot Flanders in the face with shotgun… The family voice their surprise that he killed the zombie Flanders, to which Homer responds, "He was a zombie?"
Great writing must say, stay creative.
Pocahontas what so ever.
This got influenced from the caricature I was planning to do.
I was testing the jawline, eyes and that pose for the Tomb raider caricature.
This is so called: “Test round” if you look close enough, you’ll see the hair, which already has Tomb Raider vibes.
Especially when I’m just thinking about the next caricature, these pops out many. Sometimes these sketches are way cooler than final piece.
Brainstorming tips for you.
Don’t let paper block your imagination and no matter how stupid it feels, just keep goin.
It’s not meant be anything, so you can’t fail.
Listen relaxing music, let children play close to you, watch outside and TV.
TV-channel which has the most commercial, is the best.
TV feed and music feeds ideas to your subconsciousness and those small things turns easily to the great art.
